Should human cloning be allowed?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for April 16, 2007:
I'm sure there are lots of people who would for like me to be cloned, just so they could have me all to themselves. I just don't think it's a good idea.
Rather than arguing simply from the "Let's not play God" standpoint, I'll contend that I kind of enjoy being the only one of me. I'd hate to sacrifice my unique qualities...even to myself. It's strange to even consider the possibility. Though I may sometimes feel ostracized, I usually take pride in my eccentricity. If there were too many people just like you, wouldn't you become normal? *gasp*
