What kind of person do you want to be?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for May 07, 2008:
I want to be a person who, when attending my high school reunion, people say, "Whoa. Is that really her?" That's how much I want to grow and change. No more insecurities, no more myopic view of the world. I want to be well-traveled, knowledgeable and open to new ideas. ...and I want to be well-dressed for the occasion.

second semester of last year, i only had 5 classes instead of the usual six at my school, and the hour that was empty was the one right after lunch. basically, my lunch was an hour and forty five minutes when everybody else just had a forty minute lunch. i would often walk to this mexican restaurant like 30 minutes away and buy lunch, it was great.
on time, though, i decided to walk in a back alley that led to the restaurant [it wasn't actually like a restaurant restaurant, it was more of a bus that sold really good tacos] and i had never walked in the back alley before.
i was walking past, and i looked down at the ground in this alley, and there was a dead pidgeon just laying there. it was horrible. i'm definitely not a fan of dead animals, and i almost cried.
